I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is likely to be even more dull from now on, as John Lydon has "escaped" to the comfort of a nearby five star hotel. Lydon was far and away the most interesting and entertaining of the camp's inmates and a hot favourite to win.

John Lydon - free.
Meanwhile, famous Auzzie academic Germaine Greer has revealed that the "jungle" location used for the programme is actually an old banana plantation in New South Wales. Ms Greer was offered £25k to take part in this series, but turned them down.
I wish Greer hadn't: it might have the first interesting conversations there. Probably covered by birdies.

I have to take it back about the wondrous man that is Razor. I found out that his inability to move was caused by lack of food - the rice and beans literally stuck in his gullet and the doc had to go in and give him introvenous vitamin jabs. not nice. i am truly sorry for doubting his lack of activity. and he's got lovely eyes.

Lydon wasn't necessarily the most interesting member of the highly paid TV cast. But he was most definitely the one you'd like to be stranded with because he actually had an ounce of sense about what jungle living entails - and any man who packs the vaseline to stop the bugs crawling up your bed posts gets a gold star in my book. i'm just surprised he didn't have a pack of handy wet ones as an added luxury item.
And he saw through the vacuous vacuum sucked stomach that is Jordan.
And he's walked away with 25k. Smart.
The most interesting person was Razor - he lost 18 lbs in weight (around 9 kilos) by doing absolutely nothing but slobbing in that inflatable chair for days on end. How I envy his weight loss programme.
