So... more footballers have allegedly got up to no good in a vulgar hotel. Ho hum.
I'm bored with this story. On the radio this morning I heard somebody saying it's almost ten years since the heady days of Euro 96, when football was seen as wholesome and pure and players behaved themselves. Well, looking at the England squad for that tournament I can identify several players who got up to no good on a regular basis. No, I'm not telling. Perhaps it was just the media that was wholesome and well-behaved back then.
We're supposed to feel sorry for top-level football players, because they'ew young men with lots of money and they apparently have difficulty understanding what is appropriate behaviour and what isn't.
Here's a clue, guys: going for a round of golf with Gary Lineker is OK. Groping some German tourist at a dodgy Spanish golf resort isn't.
