When I bought the first Zero 7 album Simple Things a while ago, they were still a bit of an underground band (even though I was hopelessly late arriving at the party - as usual.) The new Zero 7 album is being advertised on the TV. I find this really, really depressing.
Hey you are still hip to the happening vibe. I think I was the first person to find your secret blog, [ well the first person to comment on your blog, anyway]
Now look at you!
Havent you grown? I think it was that noted philosopher [Sir ] Elton John who explored his ideas about the cycle of life in that film... was it The Goalkeeper's Fear of the Penalty or was it The Lion King? I forget. Anyway, underground today, overexposed tomorrow.
Why else do kids practise air guitar in their bedrooms? To get white line fever driving their Tranny van [ not THAT sort of tranny ] along the A55 to do some gig at a cold Church Hall in St Asaph? No! They want to be HUGE like The New Seekers or Steeleye Span. The band's pics show it.
Before fame, lean and hungry and pale with cheek bones.
After fame Jabba the Hutt, only with Rolexes.
